At the time of writing this blog post we think that every statistic from 2023 has been matched or bettered this year in 2024. Whether that be the amount of followers we've gained on our social platforms, or the number of different locations we've created projects at, this year we've really taken things to the next level!
Over the last 12 months we've worked with 38 clients, on countless projects, proposals, and collaborations, and that doesn't include the ones who came back for more throughout the year! We delivered well over 4,000 pieces of individual content to our clients including photo galleries, 3D renders, social media reels, and website showreels! And we've been lucky enough to see this content being shared in a variety of different ways by our clients, all of which has helped to reach over 100,000 new accounts!
But we've also done some growing of our own...
We've gained over 2,500 new followers on social media and have posted a record number of content on these channels! Which also did pretty good, receiving over 10,000 combined likes and well over 100,000 combined views.
What was our secret this year? Staying consistent, sticking to our goals, and being our authentic selves, rather than chasing virality and the algorithm.
Now let's break down our year in each quarter and show you a more detailed look into what Pinboard Media got up to in 2024...
But first, a quick (and pretty big) thank you!
A Massive Thank You
All our achievements this year would not have been possible without our amazing client base. We have loved every second of collaboration with you, helping to bring your creative visions to life! We can't wait to continue our journey with you into 2025, as well as hopefully welcoming even more clients onto our radar.
Quarter 1 (Jan - Mar)
Let's take a trip right the way back to the start of 2024, between the months of January and March. We hit the ground running from day one of 2024, with a pretty busy calendar already lined up. We worked locally on a collaboration between UhOh Art and Leicestershire Police on their citywide campaign "Walk Away". This project saw us documenting the creation of a wall-art mural in the city centre, painted beautifully by the talented UhOh Art. The content was later shared on both of the participants social channels to promote the awareness of their new campaign.
Another stand out project in the first three months of this year was the project we carried our with the Leicester Branch of Damaged Society - an alternative streetwear brand, stocking all the clothing and accessories you wouldn't find anywhere else on the highstreet. Originally the concept for the collaboration was to create social media content for the Leicester branch to use on their social media. This included social media reels, product/portrait images, and a store showreel. However, the images were later used companywide for newsletters and promotional posts for all the branches across the UK.
Just goes to show how quickly a simple project can outgrow it's roots! We could talk for hours about all the other projects we got up to in Q1, but there's three more quarters of the year to get through yet!
Quarter 2 (Apr - Jun)
April through till June was packed with a wide variety of events that we attended and created content for. We worked with two local film festivals, both of which are returning clients, to help create social media content to showcase the events as they were happening, but also for future promo for events to come. Midland's Movies Awards and Wolverhampton Film Festival where the two we attended. Each ending with a formal awards evening for all of the films and filmmakers attending the event.
In May we started a brand new client venture with Chelsea Nolan, a luxury wedding singer from Ireland. At the time, Chelsea had recently been recognised with an award for her singing and wanted to elevate the quality of content she was sharing to her social platforms. We travelled to Gloucestershire to create over 200 pieces of individual content for Chelsea to share on her social platforms and website. This included music videos, professional portrait images, candid performance images, sound recording, and so much more.
Some other notable mentions in Q2 include the University of Nottingham Economics and Finance Society's annual ball, as well as the It Takes Balls To Talk Charity match. Two very different projects with their own successes and challenges, but also two very happy and retuning clients for 2025.
Quarter 3 (Jul - Sept)
Quarter 3 saw us going back to our roots as we worked with a numerous amount of local business, brands, and events. A few names included Brew Beat Festival, Saints of Mokah, and Viva El Burrito. However, one project which really stood out to us was the work we did in partnership with East Street Lanes, a local bowling alley and arcade in the heart of Leicester. We helped create 3 promotional social media reels for them to help bring in new customers over the summer holidays. These reels showcased all the business has to offer from full length bowling alleys, a kid friendly arcade, and a fully operational kitchen (which makes some amazing pizzas). The reels picked up traction quickly on social media, and the relationship between ourselves and East Street Lanes has only grown stronger, with plans to create content for their sister company Caddyshakers.
Quarter 4 (Oct - Dec)
And just like that we where into the cozy months, and we definitely delivered on cozy content in Q4. We collaborated with two local food businesses - The Pod Coventry & Jones Bistro, Burbage - to create very different styles of social content.
The Pod Coventry was hosting a evening meal in partnership with Coventry City Council, and invited us along to document the evening, the food, and the entertainment. We created a showreel of the evening for social media to promote the work of Coventry City Council, as well as to showcase the mouth-watering food The Pod creates every single week! During the evening there was a performance from Lauren South Music, who kindly asked if we could create just a small sample reel for her whilst we where at the event, which of course we said yes to! We created a short showreel and some images for Lauren to use on her personal social pages to promote herself and her musical talent.
Sticking with the musical theme, we worked with Harri Georgio and his band 'The Well-Behaved Young Men' to create a music video for their latest single 'Bad Habits'. Harri G is from the city of Leicester and is an up and coming artist who just finished his first headline tour. We recorded the music video in a rough/candid format around the streets of Leicester as this is Harri's "stomping ground". The final deliverables for the project included a widescreen music video for YouTube, as well as shortened versions in vertical format for social media and a Spotify canvas.
What Comes Next?
We really could go on for hours and hours about how much fun we've had working on all these different projects throughout the year. And we've barely even scratched the surface when it comes to highlighting what we've got up to in 2024.
We think it's safe to say 2024 was a huge success and as a business we smashed near enough all the goals we set out to achieve. But that doesn't mean we're not hungry for more...
With the calendar already starting to fill up for 2025, we're on track already to smash the records we set over the last 12 months. That does mean more full day shoots, more late nights editing, and more time spent refining our deliverables, but the pay off is always worth it in the end.
And not forgetting the possibility of working with even more amazing brands, businesses, and individuals to help bring their creative vision to life. The best part of what we do is getting to learn about people's backgrounds, and how they got to this point in their professional career. Not to mention having the opportunity to showcase what they're doing with their brand, and providing them with the content to make their mark on the digital space.
So with all that being said, we can't wait to showcase what we get up to in the new year! If you want to follow along with the journey then follow us on all social media at @PINBOARDMEDIA and see it unfold first hand!
